About

For our 2015 Spring ESLP project Yasminh, Ariyanna, and myself are creating a mural for our school campus. The concept of our mural is to show the school that there is more to life than society and social media, and a mainstream city. This project is showing how nature is a big part of our lives and we should cherish it more than we do now. Our mural is a painting of an eye that is filled with nature and on the outside it is surrounded by city life and pollution and everything man made.

The materials that we are using are a plywood board, paint, and our hands instead of paintbrushes. We are creating this mural in Mr.Bursch's classroom. We've been working on this project for about a week.

Steps:

  1. We got the plywood at Home Depot supplied by Maria's dad
  2. The paint was supplied by Mr. Bursch and Ariyanna
  3. First we painted the background which is grey
  4. When the background is dry we will sketch out the eye and city buildings outside of the eye
  5. After we get the sketches to our liking we will start painting with acrylic paint, the colors we need are; yellow, green, gray, white, black, brown, blue, pink, orange, and red
  6. We will let the finished product dry in the classroom and take pictures throughout the process and post it to our blog
  7. When we paint, we are using our fingers to make it more creative and to show that we don't need to use man made items to get a task done
