The simlicity of this project hopefully portrayed our message. Using our fingers made it more creative and fun! We didn't need words or intricate details to show that there is nmore to this world than the city; the mainstream idea that evrybody will be something and accomplish something in a big city. There are people who can still apprecicate nature crave for that lifestyle.

Post 4: Painting the Inside of the Eye
After we finished the outside of the eye and the blue dried inside, Yasminh finger painted a tree insde, Ariyanna and myself used our pinkies to do the leaves on the branches. We made finishing touches by adding grass, a sun, and painting the white of the eye. For the white part Ariyanna and I put gloves on because it was house paint, not acrylic paint.
Post 3: Painting the Buildings, Blue Sky, and Eyelashes
We did not have black paint to make the bulidings so, we mixed dark brown and dark blue to paint. As we mentioned in the about page, we used our fingers. We smeared the paint in the perimeter shape of the buildings and decided not differentiate the buildings. Yasminh lightly sprinked gold sparkes on them to symbolize the lights. We also did not make them a solid color, we blotted a towel on them to add a different texture. For the center of the eye, all three of us used our hands and painted the center all one color, light blue. For the eyelashes, Maria used her three fingers to swipe the paint to create the lashes.
Post 2: Sketching
The second step it took to create this project was to sketch out our picture before we began to paint. When Maria, Ariyanna, and I got to the clasrroom we got our plywood board and aince Maria created the idea, she sketched out her art onto the board. I drew the tree in the center of the eye and Ariyanna sketched out some of the bulidings. This part was difficult because the board is so big it was hard to get the drawings to look in contarst to eachother.
Post 1: Steps it Took Before Painting
First, we had to get the supplies; gray paint, a plywood board, and rubber gloves. Ariyanna painted the background color gray and brought it to school and dropped it off in the classroom. After school, Yasminh, Ariyanna, and I met up at Mr.Bursch's class to start painting. All of the supplies and prices are listed in the Budget page above.
